Ride for Toni day 5!

Our last day of this epic journey. We started talking about this tour with Toni before Christmas. We all spent hours discussing the towns we'd visit, the food we'd eat and here we are at the end of it. I wish Toni could have joined us down memory lane, but that wasn't to be, I'm so proud of all of us for carrying out her wishes on this bike ride.

Today we spent time at a beautiful campsite where we used to own a caravan. Such wonderful memories of this place. Swimming in the lake, riding bikes, bbqs, mosquito bites and 'caravan rules' Uno, which were firmly discussed during our time with Toni at the hospice.

We rode on paths through woodland and 5 miles before our final destination the three of us stopped for a drink and had a little chat about what we'd achieved. We all looked up and saw a red kite circling us and out thoughts were immediately on Toni. We have so many things to remind us of her daily, it's wonderful.

As we arrived in Nienburg we were excited to catch up with the rest of the team, we arrived in time for a pre-dinner snack and a beer. We enjoyed a Mexican meal in the evening and Tara filled us in with the things her and Toni used to get up to while we lived here. Mostly invloving German booze....

It's been epic. Tears, beers and sausage, what a way to celebrate a life!
